nothing new to add except R.i.P Ken , sad news !

im a firm believer in the afterlife and all things spiritual and like to believe death is just the beginning of a new chapter, hopefully theres a graceland and an Elvis up in heaven and its possible to pop over to the gates and say hello. (im probably going to be disappointed)

" Never was so Influential a Man so poorly prepared for his fate - nor so ineptly schooled for its Consequences"

"There was a reason they nicknamed him the King of Rock + Roll, !!!
THIS is the way ELVIS should be remembered! This is true greatness in the churchillian sense:
swaggering, daring, Proud yet humble, beaten yet never truly down,
MAGNIFICENT when victorious and always unforgettable! "

Did Ken pass away on Elvis' birthday?
His friend in the Video that, Greystoke, posted said Ken passed on the 6th of January.

Thanks for the update.
Ken told me in November that the oncologists thought Christmas would be doubtful.
So glad he made it and is so typical of his warrior spirit.
Rest easy, Ken.

Your marvelous friend, Ken, asked all of you who were his friends for years to stand with him while he fought his adversary, and you rose devotedly to his support. Gallantly, he welcomed even those of us, like me, who had not known him earlier. Ah, gallant, that's the word for Ken. Brave, cheerful, decent, kind, very funny, and as sweet a man as there ever was or will be. Never knew, before, anyone I really thought fit that word -- gallant. He's left us all a shining example of how to live, and how to die, with grace, dignity, and joy, every minute. He surely will be welcomed in Paradise, and sorely, sorely missed here. For the record, I think Joanna must also be both gallant and brave; Ken certainly made clear that she was the light of is life. It is for her that I now pray.

May he be enjoying the beauties of that Heavenly Paradise and be enjoying the presence of Jesus for all eternity.

While I'm sad to know that Ken has passed, I'm also jealous because he's where we who are believers in a Creator want to be someday.

Rest in peace, Ken. You will be very much missed.

God Bless,
Tony T.

It's funny isn't it how we don't actually know each other on these online forums but we can tell so much from someone's contributions. I didn't know Ken but his posts tell me he was a real gentleman. Not an ounce of self-pity and with a real fun love for life. My condolences to Joanne and his family and friends.

I received a message on Instagram from Joanne this afternoon, saying thank you for the card and messages that Andrew sent. She was very moved by it and let me know that Ken’s funeral is on Wednesday morning at 08:45 a.m., although there won't be service. Friends and family will be meeting back at Ken’s home after he's taken to the crematorium. They'll have breakfast and share memories about Ken, listen to some music, etc.

She told me that Ken wanted a service to be held on the beach in the summer, with a meal and music, and plenty of fireworks. It sounds like a marvellous way to celebrate the life of a loved one.

And thank you again to Andrew for sending a card and messages on all of our behalf.
Thanks for the update Greystoke. Glad the card got there and hopefully it will give Ken's family some comfort to know how respected he was here. I'll be sparing a thought for them all on Wednesday morning.

Like many here, I never had the chance to speak with Ken in person, or meet up with him, but in any interaction I had with him here, he always came across as a wonderful fan, and tremendous human being. We're a family here, so when we lose one of our own, it hurts. I send my condolences, thoughts and prayers to his family, and friends.

...now wendesday is gone. So Ken walked somewhere over the rainbow.
I deeply hope his beloved wife, family and friend are doing well and nobody will follow him for many years. I wished my englisch would be better to express my deepest feelings for all the ones he left behind.
I am sure Ken is happy now
sitting with God and Elvis on his side in paradise with angels' wings and will watch over his loved ones.
It is so sad...

If what you say is true, and I believe it is, it's only sad for us who are left here because we miss him. It's certainly not sad for Ken. He is happy and healthy once again. I have little doubt that he is wearing that peacock shirt and enjoying talking with Elvis while praising the Lord.

For a believer such as I, it is far from sad.
