Such sad news. Ken always came across as a good guy, and certainly faced his battle with cancer with great courage and dignity. I believe he is at peace now in the Great Beyond where no one stands alone. My deepest condolences to his loved ones. RIP Ken.

Sorry to read about all these passings in the Elvis world in recent years, including Ken's. He was obviously a well-liked member of this community. RIP.

Is this Ken Hercock? I ask because I don't use this forum but I did have a Ken Hercock on my mailing list.

Yes, I believe Hercock was Ken's surname. Thought about Ken back in June when I saw 'Elvis' the weekend it was released and how sad it was he missed seeing it. If I remember right he lived to see the trailer and commented that he would not be around to see it as he knew his cancer was terminal at this point. If you go back to the beginning on the thread there is a very touching video of a road trip to the States with him and a pal singing 'Life's Been Good To Me'. Very sad the amount of folk you encounter in life that are taken away in their prime of life some very close to you and some you just connect with on Forums like this. Not really knowing Ken beyond FECC I can only hope that life was indeed good to him up until his incredibly unfortunate cancer diagnosis.

Oh wow. That's unfortunate. Thanks for confirming, Gary.

It's sad Gary how people work their whole lives just to get to the point near retirement only to find out they won't be around to enjoy it... so many people I've seen in my life. I didn't know Ken on a personal level, but you can tell from the response on this forum alone, he was well respected and appreciated. Still thinking about you, Ken.
