Re: What are you listening to right now?
Gerry Rafferty - Night Owl...
Now i wonder how many here have heard of Gerry Rafferty or his earlier band Steelers Wheel? Probably very few. You could count the fingers on one hand.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Here's another of these exquisite 60's beat instrumentals
I want to find and add here more sparkling instrumentals 1960's that are as cool as this
The Beach Boys - Rocking Surfer (from Surfer Girl 1963 album). But contains annoying hiss on one channel. To these ears, the vinyl mix is marginally better.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Aaaahhh Yes !!
Absolute Sublime record by the Fab Four released 1965 and a number one in the UK.
And on this sparkling new mix here, very decisively done with the separation on their vocals!
Grab your headphones and listen carefully
A good look here at how many cover versions. Shows the songs strength and endurance through the ages...

Eddie's Ballads/Love Songs...
By the way, for fans of Eddie Cochran, there was in fact a Bear Family comp in 2013 titled "The Ballads of Eddie Cochran". 100 percent recommended

The Heartbeats - Time Won't Let Me...
Interesting find. They must've got their name from Buddy Holly song 'Heartbeat' who was from their region.
