If i remember right this same part can be seen on either the lost performances or the great performances

I think this has been discussed here before. Was it a news crew that were covering the August 69 opening and managed to shoot a few seconds? Or am I thinking of something else?

It is in the Great Performances.

I've seen it before. As far as I remember, it was determined that it's Elvis' boots as the curtain closes on July 31, 1969.

Yes they didn't show any of the actual press conference there was also footage posing with RCA executives, maybe it will be on the B/RAY

As far as Elvis' 1969 engagement, it is known that CBS-TV had cameras in-house the night before Elvis' opening show, on 7-30-1969 (Wed). They captured some or all of Barbra Streisand's closing night for "The Ed Sullivan Show."

Possibly taped at the 7-30-1969 CS (Wed), International Hotel, Las Vegas.



Were the cameras still around 24 hours later? No one knows.

Local news WAS there, with Gloria Greer capturing quick, pre-show interviews with celebrities like George Hamilton, Shirley Bassey and Henry Mancini, and ... Elvis' boots after closing with "Can't Help Falling In Love."

Yes they didn't show any of the actual press conference there was also footage posing with RCA executives, maybe it will be on the B/RAY
