Love Me (1970 rehearsal)
If you ever go, Darlin' I'll be oh so horny
Tue May 20, 2003 2:56 pm
I find some of the rehearsal recordings hilarious. Like:
"I got three ugly kids and a very horny wife" (Stagger Lee)
"Oh fatty, please don't cry" (Don't cry daddy)
"Whatcha think I am...dumb dee dumb..." (Beach shack)
"Blamed for the loss of his eye..." (You gave me a mountain)

On the "Elvis - Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis" album:
During the rock medley, Elvis sang "Long Tall Sally".
Elvis sang "I saw J.D. and bald-headed Sally"

I thought the line in Stagger Lee was "...three hundred little kids," which is of course a logical consequence of having a very horny wife...

UNTIL IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO:
"I was an oak - and that's a joke - and I can't bend ..."
Should be on the Desert Storm import, I guess.

UNTIL IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO (the rehearsal version on the "6363 Sunset" release):
"You're not a dream/you're not an angel/you're a woman Lord I hope so
